How NOT to pay for parking!

Parking fees can triple the cost of visiting a place.  SO, here it is – how to deprive parking lots of money by parking elsewhere… Here are three ways to save on parking fees.

1.  Public Transit – keep nothing extra in your car, and park at the closest Free Daily Parking lot in your area.  For Metro Atlanta area and Outside the Perimeter residents, that would be CCT (Cobb County Transit) and MARTA.

2.  Family and Friends – when the big events come calling, parking spaces can come at a premium – some places were charging $200 and up when the Super Bowl hit the ATL.  But the parking situation does end there – see if you can share a driveway for daily use near where you work.

3.  Benefits – some employers will pay for your parking, so be sure to ask if this benefit is included in the benefits packages.  Employers get a benefit in claiming a deduction for the paying of employee parking costs, and the employee’s buying power stretches a bit more.

Do you know other ways to get free parking?
